Why a Support Group?
If you have lost a child, you know that the pain is unlike anything else you have ever experienced. It can be difficult to cope with the overwhelming grief, and you may feel like you are alone in your journey. But you are not alone.
The Bereavement Parent Support Group is a safe and supportive space for parents who have lost children. We meet monthly to share our experiences, offer each other support, and learn from each other.
Our group is led by a qualified grief counselor, who is also a bereaved mother. We welcome parents of all ages, backgrounds, and faiths. Whether you have recently lost a child or it has been several years, we are here for you.
Here are some of the benefits of joining our support group:
Why is bereavement parent support important?
The death of a child is one of the most difficult experiences a parent can go through. It is a loss that is never truly "overcome." However, with the support of others, bereaved parents can learn to cope with their grief and find meaning and purpose in their lives again.
Bereavement parent support groups provide a safe and supportive space for parents to share their experiences, learn coping mechanisms, and receive encouragement from others who have been through similar losses. These groups can be a lifeline for bereaved parents, helping them to navigate the difficult journey of grief and healing.
